General Information

What age groups do you serve?

The Learning Grove welcomes students from preschool through elementary school, typically ages 3-12. We offer age-appropriate programs tailored to each developmental stage:

  • Preschool (ages 3-5): Early learning foundations
  • Kindergarten (ages 5-6): School readiness preparation
  • Elementary (ages 6-12): Academic enrichment and support

Each program is designed to meet the specific cognitive, social, and emotional needs of the age group.

What are your operating hours?

Our standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We understand that families have varying schedules, so we offer flexible options:

  • Full-day programs: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Half-day programs: Morning (7:00 AM - 12:00 PM) or Afternoon (1:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
  • Extended care: Available for early drop-off or late pick-up

We are closed on major holidays and follow a calendar that aligns with local school districts.

What is your student-to-teacher ratio?

We maintain low student-to-teacher ratios to ensure personalized attention and quality education:

  • Preschool: 8:1 ratio (8 students per teacher)
  • Kindergarten: 10:1 ratio
  • Elementary: 12:1 ratio

These ratios exceed state requirements and allow our educators to provide individualized instruction and support for each child's learning journey.

Enrollment & Admissions

How do I enroll my child?

Our enrollment process is simple and straightforward:

  • Step 1: Schedule a tour to visit our facility and meet our staff
  • Step 2: Complete the enrollment application online or in person
  • Step 3: Submit required documents (immunization records, emergency contacts)
  • Step 4: Pay the registration fee to secure your child's spot
  • Step 5: Attend a parent orientation before your child's first day

Contact our admissions office to get started or if you have any questions about the process.

Is there a waiting list?

Due to high demand and our commitment to maintaining optimal class sizes, some age groups may have a waiting list. We recommend enrolling as early as possible to secure your preferred spot.

If your desired program is currently full, we'll place your child on our priority waiting list and contact you as soon as a space becomes available. Waiting list families receive first notification of openings before we accept new applications.

Programs & Curriculum

What curriculum do you follow?

We use a research-based, comprehensive curriculum that integrates multiple learning approaches to support the whole child. Our curriculum includes:

  • Core academic subjects (literacy, mathematics, science, social studies)
  • Creative arts and music education
  • Physical education and outdoor play
  • Social-emotional learning and character development
  • STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) activities

We regularly assess each child's progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.

Do you provide meals and snacks?

Yes! We provide nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day. Our meal program includes:

  • Healthy breakfast (for early arrivals)
  • Morning snack
  • Hot lunch with balanced nutrition
  • Afternoon snack

All meals meet USDA nutrition guidelines and accommodate common food allergies and dietary restrictions. We work with families to ensure every child's nutritional needs are met. Monthly menus are shared with parents in advance.
